The Flame

Several years ago it became apparent that the fire service would be washing gear more often in the pursuit of cancer mitigation. What was needed was a glove that would not dry out, stiffen or shrink after repeated wash/dry cycles. It was time for an all-fabric glove.

Creating a unique glove took time. Over two years of development and wear trials went into the final product. We developed a proprietary process that coats Kevlar® with a special silicone that provides a firm, secure grip wet or dry. We took great care to design patterns that would result in a very dexterous glove. And we built the glove to withstand longer exposure to heat, both conductive and radiant. Using Kevlar® and Nomex® materials offers high levels of puncture and cut protection.  What we ended up with is our Flame glove. A truly unique improvement in hand protection. This glove is so unusual that we have been granted ‘patent pending’ status. The Flame glove is made entirely of aramid and carbon based materials. We provide a lifetime guarantee on the moisture barrier and on the integrity of the liner against inversion.

You are welcome to arrange a wear trial so you can see for yourself that the Flame glove from FireCraft provides all the features and benefits we claim for it. Sizing should not be an issue because this glove is available in 9 sizes, with either a gauntlet cuff or a Kevlar wristlet. By introducing an easy to use Velcro strap, the glove will always feel snug, resulting in greater comfort and dexterity.

FX-75MB Sentry Extrication/Rescue Glove

Provides heat, moisture, chemical, puncture and cut protection. This glove is flame resistant throughout.
  • Porelle® FR Moisture barrier certified by SEI to comply with NFPA 1971-2013 edition; also meets OSHA 29CFR 1910.1030 (blood-borne pathogen) standard. Same barrier is used in our fire gloves.
  • OUTER SHELL-BACK: A unique blend of Kevlar® aramid and glass fibers that provides cut and puncture protection
